Review: Have had this Alba RDVD1001 recorder for a month or so. Seems to be working very well. The menu systems for recording are unnecessarily involved and could do with some tidying up but you get used to programming a recording after a few attempts. Note: if you are recording via the SCART from a freeview box etc be sure to switch the decoder 'on' otherwise it sees 'no signal' and the recording will abort.
This is my first DVD recorder so I have no experience of more expensive models but for a base model I think this is excellent value for money - I am only interested in recording on dvd +rw, +r.
