Review: This Apple iPod Photo looked like such a good idea, and I was full of enthusiasm when I ordered it. It arrived promptly and looked 'the business' and I downloaded 3700 tracks to it and set off to work away from home taking a chunk of my CD collection with me. After about a week it froze. It wouldn't accept commands from the wheel, failed to display artwork, and would not switch off or reboot. It took two weeks to replace and the second machine had a whole new raft of problems, again failing to display the artwork on a seemingly random basis. When I sent the second machine back for a final stab at replacement, it took three weeks to receive the SAME UNIT back again with all the same problems. Over an 11 week period I have had no use out of this thing at all, and am awaiting a refund. I have awarded this product 1 star only because the system won't accept anything lower. If I had the facility I would award it a negative value. Apple's testing department has much to answer for. The Toshiba Gigabeat looks good.... |
