Review: First of all: I don't like Apple products. Big price with "Made in China" sign is against my rules of money spendings. But, for everything in life must be a first time, and here I am with new 60Gb Video Ipod in hands, and smile on face... Looking good, sounds good. With new headphones, of course, and without MP3 files. I choose Sony mdr 931. I-tunes software is easy to use and very quick. Transfer from CD to PC is 1 sec for 1 minute (10Mb) of noncompressed music. Transfer from PC to Ipod is much better then I expect: 4 Gb - 12 minutes. More good things: Nice and pretty clear picture on 2.5 inches display. If you don't want to spend more money on Apple software, Videora Ipod Converter is free and good. Every mpg file will be transfered to mpeg4 in good quality. It takes about 10 minutes for 5 minutes of mpg... Some bad things: You have to be veeeeeery careful with display. Scratches comes out of nowhere. Don't touch and protect in something strong. Battery life is declared as 20 hours without charge, but that's not true. Don't expect more then 10-12. Wheel button is too sensitive. Few software bugs. Sometimes frozes without any reason. Then you have to hold center and meny button together for about 10 seconds, and restart Ipod. All together now: Best looking thing, with cool price, big HD, good sound and even photo and video features. I don't see anything near on market today. |
