Review: I have been using an Ipod U2 for the last year, it goes everywhere I go. Anyway was given an I pod "video" for xmas the 60gb one. On first impressions everything seems excellent. Then on closer inspection you realise you have none of the accessories you got with your old one, such as mains power? It really is a farce. If you want a portable video player then do not buy this. I am a relatively experienced computer user, and to put any film/movie on your I pod video "excluding those from itunes" you need to be an expert. I tunes converts music files to MP3 for you but no luck on the video files. It really has been made as difficult to use with video as possible. QuickTime pro for which I had to pay an additional £20.00 can convert the files to IPOD type but will not recognise half of the files you try to process with it. In hindsight I would have gone for a different player. Do you research IPOD video really is juts for music!!! Better spending the money on a archos, as a music player it is still the best. |
