Review: The Apple iPod nano is stunning weighing only 42 grams, pencil thin and holding around 1 thousand songs. The nano has a 1.5 inch colour display ideal for viewing the photos that it can hold or just the cover artwork for the song your currently playing. Unlike it's bigger brother's the ipod nano's are completly skip free because instead of using a hard drive it uses flash memory therefore no moving parts. Apple quote the nano as having a 14 hour battery life of which you can get 80% capacity out of it with a 1 hour fast charge. The ipod comes with 4 games already built in for those boring times on the bus and the nano is pc and mac compatible. Inside the box you will get a usb lead, a dock adaptor and your earbud headphones. Unfourtanatly like the ipod mini and the shuffle before it you dont get the usb power adaptor with the nano. Therefore when you buy it the only way of charging it is through usb2 on your computer. if you dont have usb 2 or want to charge through a plug, a usb power adaptor will set you back £19 pounds. Team the nano up with the lanyard headphones or the nano dock and youll never look back. overall the only things as always with apple ipods i can criticise is the lack of fm radio and lack of charger, so if you can over look these faults go for the nano. |
