Review: I shopped around for insurance this year for our two cars and Asda beat both our existing insurers and all the others I could find (even Tescos with its 'apparent' special offer of £50 cash back) but of course, there's a catch - the Asda policy standard excess of £250 is pretty high so if you have a bump, any saving you might have made on the premium is negated by the £150 or so on top of the more usual £100 excess that you will have to pay.
I've taken the risk and gone for it as (touch wood) we haven't had the misfortune of an accident for some years now.
I cannot comment on how they are if you have an accident but they were helpful when I needed to clarify by phone some details I'd entered online.
The notes at the start of the online Asda Insurance quote seem to indicate that the insurance is actually being provided by Norwich Union. |
