Review: Attack is the film of the stage play and is recognisably so. The stageyness however adds to the power of this claustraphobic and intense movie about cowardice and bravery at the battle of the bulge. Palance is excelent as are all the other cast members. The director (Robert Aldrich) focuses on human failings as motivations and this is a theme of many of his films. This is an excellent film and my only criticism is that it lays it on a bit thick towards the end but it is a classic and I'm surprised its not better known.
