Review Summary: Best guide to the Baltics

Review: It's amazing how fast things change in the Baltic region. This update on the original is therefore very welcome. The four contributors obviously have their own passions as they write about their favourite Baltic capital. Excursions to castles, parks and open-air museums that are outside the cities but easily assessible are also included. The colourful individual characters and varied histories of Tallinn, Riga and Vilnius become clear through the pages of the book, which are spiced up with anecdotes from eyewitnesses of recent events. This and Bradt's other travel guides to the Baltics are the best and the most reliable to be found. Let's hope we don't have to wait too long for the third edition.
