Review: Battlestar Galactica on the Xbox is a good space simulation game that i have enjoyed playing, the graphics are excelent and anyone who has seen the origional 70s show will recognise all of the ships. the effects (e.g. laser fire, explosions, missile trails etc..) are all excelent. the only bad point i can make is that the game is far too hard! i often failed a mission because a capital ship was destroyed or borded or through events that i had no part in! one mission near the begining of the games sees you defend the galactica against cylon transport/bording vessels that attack in 3s u must destroy every ship in the rite order and quickly as another 3 ships are never far behind! the fact that you alone (with up to 3 wingmen) have to take on all of the most challenging enemy ships while the rest of your squadron engages a group of cylon raiders was dissapointing. it would have been nice if you could feel like more of a team and share the responsibilities. |
