Review Summary: Pretty good - but very fustrating

Review: OK, for fans of the TV series (and there are many) Battlestar Galactica may be a must have purchase. Be warned, however, that it can be a very fustraing game to play.

The game is set before the original series and you play a young Adama (the reviewer who said you get to fly alongside Apollo & Starbuck obviously hasn't played the game.)

It is very similar in gameplay terms to the X-Wing/Tie-Fighter games on the PC and can be a lot of fun. The one big downside is that you can not save mid game. This can be extremely fustrating, to the point that it may drive some gamers away. OK, a level may have 4-5 parts to it that need to be completed. You may have fiinished all but the last one, die and you have to repeat the whole thing again. You may have just spend 45 mins getting there only to find that you missed a time limit by a few seconds. Some gamers with not like this one bit.

Don't get me wrong, it is fun to play, has nice graphics and sound and for any fans of the TV series is probably a wrthwhile purchase. Just don't blame me if you end up pulling your hair out because you keep having to replay the same level over and over again!!!

The turbo effect is great and you get to command up to three wing men which is fun. Missiles are the way to go! I started off trying to you lasers but you just can't do the job quickly enough. Have fun!
