Review: If you are going to get an air filter for your home think about two things : how loud is it; how big is it. On the first score it does fairly well; my previous filter was considerably more noisy. Though the vibration on the higher speeds is noticable if you have a wooden floor. On the second score it does well; its works vertically and does not occupy a great deal of floor space. The filtration abilities of the fan are first rate; the air that comes out is clear of particles; the two stage filters save money as the carbon filter is replaced more often than the hepa filter inside. Its not a mercedes though : the door on my unit has problems staying shut. Sticky tape resolves it perfecly without affecting performance in any way. I bought my first air filter when i moved to an english city from scotland; it keeps it makes the filty city air palatable. |
