Review: I saw this fim for the first time a while back now and i was very dissapointed. After hearing all the hype by other viewers and numerous web sites, i thought this would be one of those classic 80's movies. I was wrong. I did star to enjoy it for a while, the dancing is quite impressive, but i can't help but notice how low budget this film is and just how awfull the acting is. Ok, there's no plot really, a two street dancers and a classical dance student taking on the established dance world with their self taught moves, hhhmmm wonderful, not. Flashdance was by far better and this in some ways i feel was cashing on the success of Flashdance and the dance movie in general. Dancers we're picked instead of actors and as a result, you have a bad movie with some entertaining dancing. If it was'nt for the dancing, this film would be totaly boring and it certainly would'nt of had any of the success it had. Over all a poor low bufget movie with terrible acting and god awful music. Viewers, stick to Fame and Flashdance. |
