Review: When I first saw the details of this Breville JK15 Lightening kettle I thought why on earth would anyone want (or need) a kettle that had flashing lights (unless they had hearing or vision problems of course). A kettle's just a kettle right? But I thought I would trust the previous reviewers opinions, and get one for myself as i wanted a fast boiling kettle with a filter. This kettle ticks all the right boxes - even though I have to admit it had me reminiscent of one of those boy racer cars with the blus lights underneath when I first switched it on! I thought the flashing lights would annoy me, but they don't, they are actually quite reassuring in a strange kinda way. The main points are: it has a large capapcity, boils the water very quickly, has a flat element that makes cleaning inside very easy, is very easy to fill - and the clear part is great for seeing into the unit, and unlike another reviewer, I find it much quieter than my previous kettles. And most importantly, as usual, Amazon have it cheaper than other places(around £10 cheaper)! |
