Review: Cuts off immediately on reaching boiling point. No wasted energy. I particularly like its ability to remain 'simmering' just below boiling point. Great, if you're not quite ready to use it, or if you want to keep it near the boil. Three red lights flash when on simmer mode. Blue light illuminates internals when in use. Easy to clean, since element is concealed. White plastic body seems quite good. Attached plastic lid satisfactory, but not quite so robust. Nevertheless, a stylish kettle, and recommended.
