Review: Have had this Canon IXUS 55 camera for nearly a year now. The camera is small ( although there are smaller models now of course ) but is solidly built. It has gone on several holidays bundled into various bags and pockets. I probably haven't looked after it as well as I should have, but it's still fine and after a lot of use.
Photo quality is very good I think, better than I expected from such a little item. I agree with one review that night photos are prone to red eye, but I don't know if that's something that the camera should correct. It may be that there are adjustments you can make to the settings. I've never bothered even to read the manual and I still have some great photos.
Camera is easy to use and looks good too.
The Canon IXUS 55 is a good purchase and is recommended.
