Review: The new Canon IXUS II is a fantastic little digital camera, being easy to operate for the novice but with plenty of advanced features available for the more experienced snapper. I was worried at first that it's extreme small size would render it difficult to operate but thankfully the buttons are all of a good size and the viewing screen is an ample 1.5". The camera's weight is also very low (at least compared with similar models) yet Canon have not skimped on quality and have used the same metal casing as found on their more pricier offerings. The whole unit certainly feels built to last. Focusing and start up are both quick and efficient, and lighting is usually spot on when used in 'auto' mode. Photo Quality is superb when shooting at the highest resolution mode of 3.2 Megapixels, but the 16MB memory card supplied will need upgrading if you want to take loads of shots at this resolution All in all a great camera |
