Review: The canon ixus i has an excellent 5 megapixal sensor that allows the user to enlarge up to a3 size in crystal clear quality. On The back there is a crystal clear 1.8 ich lcd monitor. ideal for viewing back the phots you have just taken. The unit has a 2.5x zoom and a 4x digital zoom which equates to a total zoom of around 10x. the camera has 16 scene modes which allow the user to refine how the shots will come out, the scene modes include sports, cusine and underwater. the camera has inbuilt editing functions like red eye reduction. The camera is usb 2.0 compatible, and comes with a very small 16mb sd card so you will have to upgrade to at least 256mb to get the most out of the camera. In the box you get; the camera, a strap, a 16 mb sd card, a recharable lithium battery, a power adaptot to allow you to charge the battery, an av cable to allow you to playback the photos through your tv. a docking station to allow easy tranfering of your photos to your computer via the usb cable also supplied. The camera is extremely impressive with it's light weight and very stylish design. (only 120g) The camera produces very impressive results both from still images and also the movie clips with sound it can produce. The only downside i can see is that the optical zoom is only 2x instead of the standard 3 on other compact cameras. so if you can overlook this tiny fault then i thouroughly recommend this canon gem |
