Review: I came to a depressing realisation recently. I have spent thousands on the latest top-of-the-range digital cameras (I currently own an Olympus C8080) and top-quality printers and they are very nice indeed. But the Olympus is just too big to carry everywhere, and I very, very rarely print anything larger than 6x4, so 8Mpixels is utterly wasted. Plus I very rarely use anything other than fully automatic on the camera because modern exposure metering is so near-perfect. So I bought an Ixus i and a Canon 330 portable printer. The printer produces 6x4 prints of superior quality than my expensive inkjet printer, and the Canon Ixus takes superb pictures. So there's no zoom, and limited manual control, but it fits in my pocket and comes EVERYWHERE with me, so I never miss a picture - and the whole lot, printer included, cost me about half as much as the Olympus. As a bonus the Ixus i is beautifully built and feels like a precision instrument.
I'm totally converted. Buy one, you won't regret it. Amazon is cheapest at the time of writing.
