Review: The Canon Ixus 700 digital camera surpassed any expectations I had of it. The pictures I have produced from it are sharper than from the IXUS 500 series. It produced amazing clear and brighte images (helped by the brighter flash than it's predecessors) . I have not encountered out of focus instances as some reviews here suggest - just supersharp images of surprising quality from a camera of it's size. I use the digital Macro feature a lot to take close shots, and these have just come out fantastic almost to expensive SLR quality. I would recommend you purchase a bigger SD card - you will use the one supplied in no time. I bought a 1gig card from Amazon for just over £50 (a real bargain). This allows around 9000 low quality images and over 1000 super high quality - and theres up to 20 minutes of movies with sound if you choose! All in all i''ve been extremely impressed with the camera not just in terms of the pictures - but overall build and quality. Only slightly downside is that the casing can be scratched - so do buy a good camera case (I bought the Canon one).
