Review: I'm generally quite pleased with the performance of the Canon Ixus IIs digital camera although I'm on my 3rd one due to faults. The first one had a battery flap which opened if you so muched as breathed on it. The second and third ones had the same problem which remains unsolved with little help from Canon. Certain SD cards seem to cause problems with the camera. Sometimes when it has been switched off it will not turn back on until you eject the battery and put it back in. This never happens when I use the 16 meg card supplied with the camera (which is useless) it only happens when I use other SD cards. The two other SD cards I have are a PNY 128meg SD and a TwinMoss 256 SD. The fault occurs with both and it isn't the camera because I'm now on Camera number 3. Other little gripes are: Purple fringeing round high contrast areas and no battery disply. Put aside the above and it's a great little camera. Image quality is great (which is why you buy the camera really) the battery life is very good. Video quality is the best I've seen on a camera this small. I don't know if it's enough to make me go for another Canon but if you're picky about your SD cards (Canon suggest to use their own or Sandisk who make them) you shouldn't have a problem. It'd be nice to have a higher optical zoom then 2x but you can always stand closer :)
