Review: I've had a Canon Ixus V3 digital camera for almost 2 years now and I've taken thousands and thousands of pictures with it.
I've very rarely been let down by anything it does.
The picture quality is excellent and I have had photos as large as 12x8 developed and they look crisp and the colour is perfect, only Canon have been capable of great colour from the digital cameras I've seen. Pros: Great picture quality, Small size, Movie mode (quality movies), Night shot (v.good - best for digital cameras of this size). Cons: Battery life (it's not that bad though) and the weight. Those two are the only things that bother me. I've been looking at getting a Minolta Dimage Xg but I will lose so many of the great things that the Canon has just for the lightness and the quick speed up of the Minolta. If only the Canon had a faster start up. It's about 3 seconds before you can take the first picture. Hope this is helpful. I would recommend this camera to anybody who is more interested in taking quality pictures especially on holiday.
OH, also I found the little shiny metallic circle very useful for taking pictures of myself and my girlfriend with my arm outstretched. The Circle acts like a Mirror, what you see in the circle in front of the camera is what you see on the screen (give of take a little bit). Fab CAM! |
