Review: If you are looking at this review of the Canon PIXMA iP1000 colour bubble jet printer I would guess like me you are looking for a cheap printer that can produce good quality at reasonable cost. Only just had it so long term is unknown but it prints quite fast and I did a test photo A4 size print and was delighted at the result. It is not quiet but I have had worse, no tray to catch the paper, not a problem for me, and I think I prefer it as it keeps it small and simple. Decent bit of software to help you print, and quite frankly I feel I have had great value for money. The best bit to me is that whilst others do a cheap printer with a great spec Canon do not rip you off with replacement ink. Listen up Lexmark and HP, often the replacement carts even for the cheap printers are more expensive that this Canon. Compatibles are plentiful and very very cheap. They are small but if you are doing large print runs why look at a low end printer ? No extras in the box like paper, but at this price that should not be unexpected and no it does not include a USB cable..........but printers of all makes that I know of do not. In conclusion, letter printing on HQ excellent, photo printing, far better than it ought to be at this price, and my trial was at default without tweaks. 5 Stars without a doubt. |
