Review: Having only ever owned a cheap and cheerful point and shoot camera, my hubby and I decided to treat ourselves to a good digital camera. After reviewing different makes ( via websites, What camera etc) we opted for the Canon A80. A friend had recommended Amazon and I'm pleased to say from the minute we placed the order to final despatch of our goods I could not fault them at all. It took hubby the matter of minutes to set up the camera .We took the camera to Cornwall for the half-term break and took plenty of shots of the kids, beach scenery, sunsets. It's compact size fitted easily in a coat pocket/handbag.The fold out screen was excellent for taking shots at the seal sanctuary as we were able to hold the camera over the glass/fencing and still see what we were taking! The kids (aged 9 & 5) also found the camera simple to use. Only downfall - remember to have a spare set of batteries as we found ours ran out when we were in the depths of The Lost Gardens of Heligan! On our return home we took delivery of the Canon CP200 photo printer which we had ordered. Not being an expert in the photo scene I have to say that within 10 minutes of opening the box I had managed to set it up and print out a couple of photos direct from the camera! I am most impressed with this compact printer, albeit post card sized prints - but brilliant quality. Our purchase has far exceeded expectation. The instruction book is very clear and have now worked out movie mode (this is brill!) black and white shots etc. There is plenty more this little gem can do - try it for yourself. |
