Review: Pros
Excellent resolution
Good metering, excellent tonal balance maintaining shadows
Very good fold-out and twist LCD, for those awkward position shots
Shooting priority play mode
Excellent manual controls
Fast lens
Manual control over processing algorithms (tone, sharpness, etc)
Low noise at ISO 50, although Canon could do better at 100
Shot-to-shot times are good
Startup time about 4 seconds
Good natural-light white balance, strong and balanced colours
Really good battery life
Bright LCD anti-reflective coating
Continuous shooting modes
RAW file format - The bext so far
Convert JPEG shot into RAW later
Compact Flash Type I or II and Microdrive support
External Flash hot-shoe
Voice feature
Built-in ND filter
Excellent night framing
AF assist lamp

Cons
Missing auto 9 point AF as in PowerShot S50
Noise above ISO 50
Viewfinder partially obstructed by lens barrel - not really a problem, but mention it nonetheless
