Review Summary: invaluable guides to the real med

Review: I have now purchased several Insight Guides and have taken them with me on my travels. They are indispensible to learning more about the country you are visiting and have often led me to undiscovered gems. I even credit my Insight Guide to Turkey West with the most incredible, authentic Turkish meal I have ever eaten, after discovering a tiny village and being invited by a very hospitable family to join them for dinner. The Insight Guides show historical ruins and places of interest that don't feature in even the most popular guidebooks and most importantly they guide me safely, on my many trekking expeditions and my travels by road.They are quite simply invaluable and I would recommend them to anyone travelling abroad, from the casual tourist to the serious travellor. Excellent and well worth the miserly few pounds!!
