only DVD+r and rw compatible
recording from TV has issues with sound

Review: I have owned this Ellion DVR 530S DVD recorder for approx 2 years now and must say its really does look cool, especially the blue light ring when the player powers on from standy, but wouldn't recommend this unless you want to be somewhat annoyed.

I have spoken to and mailed the ellion tec support over 20 times regarding issues with the player and they have only come back three times and everytime they say to use a diffent firmware....just got a bit frustrated and just moved it from my main living area to the conservatory for the kiddes to watch and opted for a Kiss DP600 wireless DVD/HD Divx certified player which truly lives up to the functions and usage.
