Review: The size of the Ellion DVR-535S dvd recorder appealed to me along with the spec. Checked the reviews and the all seemed to be pretty positive. Overall it is not too hard to use and the quality of recordings was pretty good. The first machine I had used to lock-up and had to be unplugged to get it to work again. After a few months it failed completely and wouldn't read or write any disks and was replaced by Amazon. I have now had the second machine for about nine months and that also suffered from the lock-ups and needed to be unplugged before it would work again. However, this machine has also given up and needs replacing. I will not be getting another of these machines.
