Review Summary: Fallout Makes a welcome arrival on the console

Review: There has been a large debate between Fallout fans about whether the franchise should have ever looked at making a transition to the console.

I think this should be settled by the game itself. From my eperience of playing it I have deduced that what console games need when they are making a expansion from the PC is differentiation, something that makes the gameplay different from that of the PC. Fallout:BOS does just that.

It was not Interplays intention to re-create Fallout on the PS2/Xbox, rather it was their idea to create a fast paced 3rd person adventure that would constantly keep you on your toes; and they succeeded. This game makes a welcome change from the slow turn based combat of Fallout, and although I dearly love Fallout and Fallout 2, it is nice to have a bash at constantly hitting the X and Triangle buttons so that you can mash Raiders, Radscorpians and Muntants into pieces.

Much like their Dark alliance games, this one makes for a fun adventure through the Fallout world and I urge Fallout fans to at least give it a try before criticising it.
