Review: Final Fantasy X Platinum is a sweet game, nothing like the previous ones. Final Fantasy 7, a classic for its time, is one of my favourites. FF 8 not as good but still a blast. FF 9 was my least favourite, it just didn't grasp me; but that may be because a month after buying it I got FF 10 which I though is fantastic. Just one draw back and that its a bit too linear than the rest. But otherwise excellent. I suggest for beginners to use the standard sphere grid for a while or complete it with it; but the expert grid is so much better, more freedom to choose and easier I found. I've basically completed the grid with Yuna who does 99,999 damage by attacking!! Go with the expert if you're confident enough; standard just helps you to know whats best for your characters to learn in the beginning of the game. However, it is quite slow in developing; you are quite contained with roaming, story-line, sub-quests and getting stronger but shouldn't take too long. My favourite aeon is Anima; I've managed to do 1,750,000 damage with his overdrive; Oblivion!Graphics: stunning cut-scenes and impressive fights - 10/10 Sound: fits in nicely with the visual atmosphere and characters talk - 8/10 Gameplay: fun but linear - 9/10 Lifespan: linear but 70 hours for essential plot - 8/10 Overall: if you are a fan of the FF series, this is worth getting and it'll make more snese when Final Fantasy X-2 comes out - 9/10 |
