Review: I'm not interested in cycling, or indeed any sport, but a friend persuaded me to read French Revolutions, assuring me that I'd enjoy it. He was absolutely right. The Tour de France is an extraordinary, epic event which grips a whole nation every year, and once you read the incredible tales from Tour history in this book you'll understand why. Tim Moore's account of his own efforts to complete the route is brilliantly written and very inspirational - and he's the funniest writer I've come across in ages. |
