Review: The Fuji FinePix 2600 Zoom is a Cool digital camera for all. very user friendly. The camera produces high quality images on normal setting, and even better on best. It's a nice size, can fit in a coat pocket in the winter, but in the summer it's hard to find somewhere to keep it safe. I bought the official fuji 2600 cary case for it which has fits the camera tight, and has space for 1 Smart media card, and 2 AA batteries, then it hasa belt loop. I haven't used the software supplied because in windows XP all you need is the driver and then windows picture viewer has all the feature I need, where you can print photos on full size A4, normal album size, passport size etc. The battteries are about average, I would like them to last longer but what can you do, and dont bother buying some duracell or energizer for it, because they last about 3 minutes with the LCD on. the rechargable batteries are special high power ones. The camera has a good power save mode, where you cant forget to turn it off, if it is inactive for 2 minutes it will bring the zoom lense in and switch off. I've had mine for about 6 months now, and after I'd had it a week, I knew that 16MB was not going to be enough when we go on holiday, 16MB can hold about 10 of the best high res photos, I wanted to upgrade to a 64MB one which would have been just right, but instead I ordered the 128MB by misstake. the 128MB one is impossible to fill, i dont worry about running out of space at all, I even keep some movies on it. I gave the camera 4 stars rather than 5 because it has very bad shutter lag on the high res settings, alot of digital cameras have this though, this means that when you press the shutter button it takes about a second before the photo is taken. |
