Review: I read the previous reviews and bought the Fuji Finepix E550 camera. I'm also very impressed by what I've seen so far. Just like to add that a mains power adapter is not supplied with the camera, which I think is a bit stingy of the manufacturer, you have to buy it separately. I wouldn't let this put you off though as its surely a great bit of equipment for the price. (I'm managing with the rechargable batteries for now, they have a good long life. You can get an adapter on amazon relatively cheap). The quality of image as I tested it is easily good enough for me to use it as a scanner ( text is crisp and clear on the photo), and archive tool for my artwork. Colours appear natural and true to life, hardly needed to do any alterations in photoshop, and that was only from an image I took under artificial light! It's true you will also need to count a bigger memory card into your budget, they are available here for less than at fuji's site. My camera also worked with iphoto, but once I'd tested the fuji finepix software I discarded the iphoto, fuji's finepix viewer is much better to work with. Mac user. |
