Review: I recieved the Fuji Finepix E550 at the end of August. The standard 16MB card is pathetic, can only save 5 pictures on 6MP mode... i found the camera really easy to use, the screen being incredibly clear, except in really bright light, but still managable. the auto mode is good, but i usually have it in P mode or S mode. this, i find brings out the best in the pictures. The battery life from the rechargeables is supreme, however dont rely too much on disposable AA's, they just dont last at all. Also using the night mode, or a slow shutter speed, you can make a dull september evening, say 8 or 9pm, look more like 5 or 6 pm. it really can be that good! the option for a telephoto and wideangle lens is there too, but at £60 each they are a bit expensive...overall though i am absolutely thrilled with this camera. The only kind of upgrade i would ever consider would be either a Canon EOS 350D or a Fuji S9500, both well over £600, this camera, the E550 is a snitch under £160! a bargain, complete bargain! the 12 MP mode by the way can only really be seen in it's full glory if you print it out, up to a size comparable to A3! so please just buy this camera! even if you are considering the Canon A95, it isn't as good, beleive me! |
