Review: Initial attempts at espresso making with the Coffee Deluxe were rather inconsistent and somewhat disappointing until I discovered Illy Espresso Coffee (no I don't have shares in the company). I can now brew a first class espresso EVERY time without fail. I have my own (Braun) grinder but cannot reproduce the fineness of grind of the Illy brand. So I have given up grinding my own as a result. The machine is a smart addition to any kitchen and, when used with the right coffee, allowed to warm up properly (around 15 mins), and cleaned regularly, it will produce a superb cup of coffee every time. In fact I'm off for another right now (not getting much sleep these days - DOH!) |
