Review: I gave my working Freeview box to a friend who is convalescing at home and wanted extra viewing and so I needed a replacement. My Freeview experience so far had been mixed reception quality dependant on weather conditions (I live on a boat) and thought that a Freeview box with UK DAB could hardly be worse (especially at the price). Imagine my surprise when it worked "out of the box" giving better TV reception and good DAB (I think) all from my old omni directional TV aerial. Setting up for both Freeview and DAB was totally painless as was creating the favourites list for each. It also can check my signal strength, has an 'on screen in program' 'now and next' info button plus teletext. The only iffy point is the slow text updating but it's as good as any I've seen to date so until the technology advances I suppose I'll have to put up with it. |
