Review: I bought the Goodmans primarily on the back of reviews and the CD/DAB radio capability. I have been looking at DAB for a while and wanted something for the kitchen that did the job. DAB radio alone can be pricey, and more so with a CD playing capability. So this little unit with the glowing reviews seemed the obvious choice. From the outset the little Goodmans delivers both great sound and looks for your bucks. Setting up the unit and speakers is straight forward and trouble free. Albeit the speaker cable is nothing more than bell wire, I can forgive them that for the price. The pre-set graphic equalising settings do incur a degree of hiss, though the "flat" position delivers a neutral and hiss & boom free performance. Pound for pound this little gem punches well above it's weight and has to be a bargain considering the inflated prices for some trendy DAB radios on offer today. So for anyone looking for a small system to deliver great CD and DAB sound for no money look no further. |
