Review: Like many of the other reviewers I was hesitant to buy a lesser known name product. However on reading the reviews I was tempted by the price, the slim profile and the versatlity of discs played. Unfortunately I wasn't able to verify the variety of media supported as I could not get a picture from the unit, although sound did register. As for the slim and stylish looks - great as long as you don't touch. The feel of the product was too light and cheap, no solid feel to the unit and the power button action was vague. Ok some people might say that you get what you pay for but I say, if I buy a product to play DVDs etc. then it should be able to perform the intended purpose. I have used a number of DVD players over time and this is a product I would not recommend. Amazon Customer Service was excellent as usual, but I would also like to see in addition to reviews (which most buyers wouldn't write) a figure for number of units returned as defective. Buyer beware! |
