Review: I needed some speakers that were compatible with both my ibook and my mini disc, so anything that needed a sound card or other such upgrade was out of the question. After reading all of the above reviews, and various others, and seeing that these were recommended on the apple website (a sure sign of quality, no?)I decided that if they were what people said they were, they would be worth the money. They are, trust me. I honestly didn't expect such clarity and power from a system that cost just over £100. I (until now) was a firm believer that to get truly decent qualtiy sound I would have to part with copious amounts of cash for some bottom of the range studio monitors, and I being a lowly youth, do not have that kind of cash. The base on this system is yummy and the rest, well.... Looks fab, sounds ace and is v v cool. And the blue glow, aw man!Just ask anyone, they'll tell you, mac styling is the way forward my friends. compare this system for example to a clunky, dark, faux wood £30 2.1 surround sound system. Just look at the two, imgine them both in your living room, which is gonna look better? eh? need i say more...... |
