| Good Points: simple, elegant design, made from thicker (8mm) sheet so doesnt feel thin and flimsy like cheaper baths. |
Review: When having to install a new bath following an accident with a steamer, we saw this Acrylic Bath from the range by Heritage bathrooms at our local bath showroom.
Its simple, elegant lines mean that it won't date too badly (I bet they said that in the 70s as well :o)
We needed a very small bath to fit in the space left by the old bath and the Dorchester was narrower than many of the other baths we saw.
We paid a little extra for the 8mm thick version of the bath but I consider this money well spent as the bath feels much more substantial than the 5mm thick version - I think it was only about £20-£30 more anyway.
When choosing which model, I asked the showroom why there was such a price difference between some apparently similar baths and their explanation was that ceratin bath shapes have much higher reject rates than others so you're paying for the higher scrap rates with some of the dearer baths.
Whther or not this is true, I think this bathh is good value for money and I'm very pleased with it. |
