Review: This Hoover DM4490 Dust Manager vacuum cleaner has all the drawbacks of a 'bag' vac combined with the mess and fiddle of a bagless. It's also incredibly noisy due to the 1900W motor, yet suction isn't that great. By the time the dust container is only two thirds full, performance falls off and the hoover starts chucking out large amounts of dust. Emptying the container is very fiddly and messy - every month you have to WASH the thing out too (really) - and as the walls of the container are porous and clogged with dust, this takes an age. Then let the container air dry for up to 24 hours. Oh, and you need to wash the pre and post motor filters every month too. Probably the worst household appliance I've ever used. |
