| Good Points: Good service, (mostly) competitive rates on car insurance, very competitive for shop insurance. |
| Bad Points: Uncompetitive for young drivers. |
Review: I first used JM Glendinning insurance brokers about three years ago for a car insurance policy. Normally I shop around using the comparison sites but I needed an insurance company which would take into consideration the no claims history of an older driver who had been driving as a named driver but had not had insurance themselves. This can often happen, for example when someone has had use of a company vehicle.
I'd got loads of quotes but they were all sky high because of the zero no claims bonus. I called JM Glendinning, explained the situation and, thanks to their specialist knowledge, they came back with the most competitive quote using a company who would take into account the use of the vehicle as a named driver.
I've used them for a couple of years since for car insurance and found them to provide competitive prices.
Unfortunately, I've recently moved my car insurance away from them because I needed to add a young driver to the policy and the premiums offered by their insurers weren't competitive.
I also have business insurance through them which I found to be very competitive. I had been with Pearl insurance previously but their hikes in premiums, despite no claims, prompted me to shop around. It was a while ago but I seem to recall their premium was almost half of what Pearl were quoting, and for an equivalent insurance. |
