Review: My first JVC DR-MH30EK hard drive DVD recorder (bought Sept 2005) lasted over a month before it failed. Amazon were brilliant - a replacement rushed to me, no hassle. That one lasted 3 MONTHS and is now defunct failing with EXACTLY the same fault pattern as last. All the Christmas stored programmes lost. Hey! I am a 'dyed in the wool' supporter of JVC for several decades, but this otherwise excellent unit has an obvious fault in its chipset for I cannot believe I have simply been 'unlucky' - twice. Looks like Sony will be the next choice . . . !
