Review: For years I have wanted a camera just for little things whether analysing sports performance or a project or just anything really. Unfortunatley I have been put off by high price tags and believing that any decent camcorder would need some considerable money. I was also worried about all the technicalities involved in them like getting your videos onto video or dvd etc. Anyway I came into some money and thought that this was what I should spend it on before I had spent it all on pizza or something like that. I decided to buy this JVC I do not really know why I did not know anything about cameras but the specifications seemed to look really good for price and it looked fairly snazzy.lol.I got it through the post and started using it immedietly and it worked a treat. At first I just filmed a squirrel just to see what it would loook like on the tv. It came out great the resoloultion was incredible for something so cheap. My mate has a £1000 Sony that is 1 year old and you can honestly not tell the difference on screen. Even when recording action is does not loose quality- I cannot tell you enough if you want a budget camera or just a great camera this is the one to buy. *IMPORTANT* Even although I do not have enough praise for this camera and as I said it meets the standards of one of £1000. I would suggest a tripod because it is hard to hold for longer than half an hour because it is a bit heavy (or maybe I am weak?). This was the main difference. *IMPORTANT #2* The camera does not have the best battery life either and you are doing well if you get more than an hour and a half out of it. Thankfully none of these mattered to me and the quality was stunning. As for ease of set up .... EASE OF SET UP Was fantastic if you can record a tv program and set up a PS2 your sorted. You just plug in your camera to the other end of the scart and plug the scart into the tv. Turn the channel to your video or playstation channel (TV AV) and play the video on your camera. Then record. Simple. You can also use memory sticks for your computer and to burn it to VCD or edit it on screen but I cannot be bothered, you could also do this with the tape but you would need a transition wire that has the camera adapter and a USB on it. Anyway enough of that. THE BOTTOM LINE The camera is great, I cannot praise it enough. Hope this review was useful. Nevboz |
