Review: Upgraded to this JVC GR-D33 after owning a Sony Hi8 camcorder.
Fits easily into the hand and is simple to use. Camera doesn't have that many features on it but then I'll only use it for simple point & record. No remote but then it is less than £170.
Picture quality is great and was a breeze to connect it to the PC (firewire card & cable bought seperately elsewhere). Other reviews have mentioned the camera "whir" noise when recording but I've not noticed it.
Only criticism is that you don't get a blank tape in the box (not even a 30 min one!!).
Apart from that it's a superb buy for the money.
