Review: With a normal life span of 24 months for camcorders, you would have thought that JVC would do its utmost to satisfy existing customers and encourage repeat purchases. Unfortunately, this concept is totally lost on them. I purchased a spare battery for my new JVC GR DF470EK MiniDV camcorder via the JVC e-shop (unfortunatelly Amazon do not stock accessories). Once received, the battery was not up to our expectations and we decided to exchange it for another size. It took 4 telephone conversations to be pertinently informed that returns had to be booked through the e-shop for refund. We logged our request...6 weeks ago and to date have had no contact from JVC about collection and, of course, no refund. One last telephone call to complain about the situation and I was again pertinently informed that 'that's the kind of company we are'. Well that kind of company will not get my next camcorder purchase! |
