Review: Jade Empire Limited Edition is a truly awesome experience, Bioware have done it again after the brilliance of KOTOR. This game takes many of the best features of KOTOR and improves upon them and in many ways this feels like more of sa sequel to that game than the disapointing (and frankly baffling) KOTOR 2 did. What can i say, superb graphics, amazing sound and voice acting and one of the most fun combat systems ever. The game also has the best twist since Deus Ex (much better than KOTOR's rather obvious revelation in the middle).
Downsides, well maybe its a tad too short (tho it took me 40 hours to complete), and at times I found myself yearning for some Morrowind-esq freedom. Still overall well worth buying. Its still a tad behind KOTOR in my affection as it doesn't quite match the scale of that story but nonetheless is nearly flawless.
One final message to all, once you finish it, make sure you run the whole of the credits for some truly hilarious dialogue from some of the main characters!! |
