Review: This Konica Minolta Dynax 7D camera is absolutely amazing. First of all, the build quality completely surpasses any of its direct competitors - you'll find the Nikon D70S and Canon EOS-350D are lightweight, made of plastic and hard to hold. The Minolta creates a massive impression from the moment you first touch it - it's solid, metal, and feels like it's built to last. The thing that drove me most towards this camera however, was the fact it's compatible with any Minolta AF lens. I was quickly up and running with my 15 year old Minolta ZOOMxi lens. The camera is amazingly simple to use - I didn't even need to read the instruction manual to start taking some great shots. Despite the overwhelming array of buttons, knobs and switches on the back, it's certainly very easy to use. Once you get to know what they do (which'll be a breeze if you've ever used an SLR camera before), you'll appreciate how useful it is to so many functions available at your finger tips. When you need to change the flash compensation, for example - it doesn't mean clicking around in menus looking for it. Just use the dial. So I would definitely recommend this camera to anyone - 35mm SLR users or digital compact users. |
