Review: At last a great Laurel and hardy box set available in the UK with all the Hal Roach classics (1926-1940). Great packaging with silver lettering combining effectively with black and white drawings of L&H. Each volume has small booklet (3-4 pages in length) with some pictures and production notes. Newly restored B&W prints are the best around. And you also get the colourised versions which, although much criticised by L&H collectors and fans alike they are not as bad as people make out and are certainly not a waste of disc space as has been suggested. Disc 21 contains the 1991 documentary which is about 90 min long and is very watchable. overall highly recommended |
