Review: I have had this Lexmark X6150 printer, scanner, copier and fax for a week. No problems installing, I just use it via USB 1.1 as I havent got USB 2 on this machine. Very easy to use, it couldnt be simpler, it has 3 big buttons to determine mode (fax/scan/copy) ... and then 2 big buttons to determine if you want colour or black & white ... advanced options are accessible via a LCD which is also easy to use. No problems with the fax, just changed the dialing mode to pulse (via front LCD advanved options) and it worked fine. Comprehensive answering options, like manual, auto, answer on fax tone and delay options. The printer driver, that pops up within application like word, is also very comprehensive and allows you to choose from things like quick print or best quality printing mode. When printing a small popup window appears to tell you how much ink is left. It is also very clever, as you get can the machine to scan a page and then invoke a graphics application on your machine to place the image within it. I thought that was a neat trick. I have never actually believed that anyone could get a photo quality print from a home-use inkjet. I used to take some of my digital images to a photo processing shop on CD. This is the first time I have seen them come out like photo quality using a home printer. Fantastic. I take many digital photos, and they come out very clear using best print mode / glossy paper. The black and white photos look like they have been produced by laser ! I cant fault it, its great value for money !!! |
