Review: I was a little nervous buying this Lite-on LVW 5006 DVD recorder after reading other reviews. I needn't have worried. This is a great machine for the price, it's easy to use and the record quality is much better than any tape based recorder I've ever used.
I was up and running in no time with the DVD+RW disk that is supplied but I also had some DVD-RW's to try. The + worked better than the -'s as I had difficulty erasing the -RW's. I don't know if this is a common problem or just with the media (Traxdata) that I was using. I've since bought some more +RW's and everything is plain sailing again.
All in all, I'd recommend this as an entry level recorder to replace a VHS Machine. It's a doddle to use as long as you stick to + type media.
